2EZY is a very well thought out boat. You name it, they thought of it and implemented it, making it easy to use and sail, hence the name 2EZY.
The boat is ready for those bars that only runabouts cross, mangrove crab creeks, beaching at Whitehaven or a night in Hill Inlet. Perhaps a sprint around the buoys on a Friday night race. For any of these, this is the cat for you.
This vessel has been designed and built by a TAFE Composite Technology certified catamaran sailor, with over 20 years sailing and construction experience. He has provided a safe and easy short handed sailing vessel, capable of mixing it with the best in PHS handicap racing and excel in off shore cruising.
The Hulls are Factory moulded, Gelcoat, Vacuum bagged contoured 10 mm Divinycell with S-glass/vinylester layup.
Bridge deck is 20mm Nidaplast honeycomb / divinycell / Nomex carbon/Kevlar as required. Flow coat finish.
Coach house deck 20 mm Nidaplast flame retardant honeycomb. Flow coat finish.
Flat panels are Nomex carbon/Kevlar. Some plywood.
To overcome the Bimini/canvas aft deck covers normally installed post build, the walk on aft deck hardtop is fully moulded GRP/Nidaplast honeycomb with electric sunroof and main traveller above.
The helm can adjust the 4:1 main traveller, as well as the main sail winch, from the central helm position.
The radial tracked self tacking gib is Portside winch controlled. Tacking is just a matter of notifying the crew of tack and tacking. No adjustments necessary!!.
This vessel has copper in vinylester bottom and has only been out of water once in 12 years for an insurance survey ( 6 years ago ). Monthly walk around bottom scrub is all that is required to keep clean and most can be reached without a mask.
